My name is Maria van Eeden and this will be my fifth year teaching at Sai Sishya International School. I am from South Africa and received my B.Ed ECD (Early Childhood Development) from the University of Pretoria where I was born and raised for the most part. I have been privileged to work and live in countries like; South Korea, Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, and China in International Schools and a Science High School. I have 6 years of IB PYP experience and have been the PYP coordinator for the past two years. I have had a total of 17 years of teaching experience and enjoy learning alongside my students. My hobbies include; riding my bicycle, jump roping, singing, reading, playing the ukulele and the guitar, playing badminton, and travelling. I enjoy meeting new people, trying new foods, and spending time in nature.
