My name is Servando Lopez Leon from Mexico. I hold a Ph.D. and a Masters degree in Electrochemistry. I have been living in Japan for 3 years and right now I have the pleasure to be the Principal here, at Saisishya.
As a scientist, I taught in the past in different countries and universities around the world (France, Canada and Mexico) where I was in charge of leading undergraduate and Ph.D. students.
With all this experience and the support of all the SSIS community I do not have any doubt the Saishya will become one of the best schools in Tokyo.

My name is Maria van Eeden and this will be my fifth year teaching at Sai Sishya International School. I am from South Africa and received my B.Ed ECD (Early Childhood Development) from the University of Pretoria where I was born and raised for the most part. I have been privileged to work and live in countries like; South Korea, Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, and China in International Schools and a Science High School. I have 6 years of IB PYP experience and have been the PYP coordinator for the past two years. I have had a total of 17 years of teaching experience and enjoy learning alongside my students.
My hobbies include; riding my bicycle, jump roping, singing, reading, playing the ukulele and the guitar, playing badminton, and travelling. I enjoy meeting new people, trying new foods, and spending time in nature.

Hello, I'm Kazeny O'Neill, an eager lifelong learner from South Africa. I've been living in Japan since September 2017, teaching students from ages 2 to 85. I have my Bachelors degree in Education Foundation Phase. I am curious and interested in exploring the wonders of the world. I'm excited to get to know each of my students as we are all unique. I am very excited to have been working at Sai Sishya for 2 years. I am looking forward to meeting you. It's exciting to reach our potential, let's make it a journey working together. I am a trained teacher with a B.Ed. degree. Teaching is my passion and that’s why I have been in this profession for over twenty years as a Mathematics and Science educator. I love to observe and discover the varying learning styles of students, ensuring each student's unique academic needs are met to become inquisitive and make them fall in love with the subject.

Hi there! I'm Fumi, and I come from Utsunomiya, Japan. I'm currently in my third year at Sai Sishya International School. I really love teaching kids. I'm also into Japanese and music. But education to me means more than just school stuff – I care a lot about kids' feelings and all-around development.
When I'm not in the classroom, I'm out exploring new places and meeting people from different backgrounds. I've been into ballet and piano for ten years, and I can't get enough of theater shows like ballet and musicals. In my free time, I play the piano and enjoy classical music. I also like hanging out at cafes and reading interesting books. Learning new languages is exciting for me too! I'm really excited about being part of this learning journey. I can't wait to share what I know and learn a lot of new things together!

I am Suchitra Shah (Ms. Suchi) and I am from India. I studied in India and earned a Bachelor in education degree and master degree in Mathematics. I have been in Japan for almost 18 years. I have been teaching students from CBSE, CLS and PYP curriculum for 22 years. I have been a part of SSIS for the last 3 years.
Teaching is my passion and I believe that each child is special and unique. I keep my classes as interesting and interactive as possible. I try to teach them to look at the problem from different perspectives and use different strategies to solve them. To enhance a student's confidence I focus on thinking skills and conceptual understanding.
I love to see my students grow as confident, independent and lifelong happy learners.

Learned Yoga at the age of 14 and practised for more than 18 years individually. While working in the corporate world, I realised the stress, importance of heartiness and recognized the need of mind and body balance.
Through my professional Yoga learning, I acquired training for Ashtang Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Samkhya, Yoga Sutra, Anatomy, Physiology and Public Harmony. I am also helping many people with some medical conditions to improve their mental and physical health via yoga therapy and yogic management.

I'm Fearghal, originally hailing from Ireland. My educational journey led me to a BA in ceramics, glass, and metals design from the esteemed National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland. I've also earned a CELT certification to further enhance my teaching skills.
For over 8 years, I've been dedicated to teaching English as a foreign language in Japan. My students have spanned a wide age range, from 5 to 85 years old, and I've had the privilege of teaching in various educational settings, each with its own unique charm.
When I'm not immersed in the world of language education, I'm indulging my creative side with drawing and photography. Staying active is important to me, and you can often find me engrossed in fitness training at the gym or enjoying the outdoors at the park or exploring the city.

I have obtained a postgraduate certificate in Kathak dance as well as Tegore Dance with a Gold medal. I like to share my expertise, Art and skill among the students. Applying different and appropriate instruction methods for individual age groups by delivering intelligence about the origin of a particular dance to the students through attractive stories. I constantly enjoy teaching numerous forms of international dance to the kids. I have directed many live performances across India and Japan.

My name is Macrina Prado. I'm from the Philippines and have been teaching and working in Japan for two decades. I have taught and worked in different international schools here in Japan. I joined Sai Sishya International School in March 2023 as G4 Homeroom teacher also G4 and G3 ELA teacher.
I believe that a child learns best when they feel happy and safe. I strongly feel that parents’ involvement in their child’s education would have a huge impact on a child’s educational development as a child shares what they’ve learned in the classroom, builds confidence, and they continually develop their communication skills in sharing their ideas. Your encouragement would play a significant role in their lives and would also posterize a better parent -child relationship.
I love reading books, doing tutorials on weekends, cooking, watching documentary films and travelling to nearby places.

I've been in the IT sector for seven years and am now transitioning into my favourite profession, which is very different from my previous one.
